who wants to live forever? — … on being and becoming …

Via: … mobius faith imaging … … ON BEING AND BECOMING … …who wants to live forever? …

here’s no time for us,
There’s no place for us,
What is this thing that builds our dreams,
yet slips away from us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever
There’s no chance for us,
It’s all decided for us,
This world has only one
sweet moment set aside for us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who dares to love forever,
When love must die.

But touch my tears with your lips,
Touch my world with your fingertips,
And we can have forever,
And we can love forever,
Forever is our today,
Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever,
Forever is our today,
Who wants forever anyway?

===== Incredibly well done Cover but nobody outperforms Queen on their work. To me it even feels sacrilegious to cover certain music because of loyalty to certain musicians, It’s become a cover band world though since the digital sample broke the ice on copycat bands in the 80’s =======

Queen is incredible. Brian May has been a Idol of mine since the 80’s in school while taking guitar lessons.

A Kind of Magic – Released15 September 1986

Who Wants to Live Forever is a favorite song by Queen. It’s the sixth track on the album A Kind of Magic, released in June 1986, written by lead guitarist Brian May for the soundtrack to the film Highlander.
Queen were backed up by an orchestra, with orchestrations by the co-composer of the film’s score, Michael Kamen. The song peaked at No. 24 in the UK charts.

Since its release, the song has been covered by many artists. The only one I like is when Seal performed it live at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992. Rolling Stone readers voted it their fifth favorite song by Queen. It’s always been my favorite Queen Song.
